ARHRF Rural Medical Scholarships

ARHRF IS NOT OFFERING RURAL MEDICAL SCHOLARSHIPS IN 2010.

The Australian Rotary Health Research Fund (ARHRF) has established a Rural Medical Scholarship scheme aimed at encouraging medical students to consider a career in rural/remote Australia after graduation.

Two $AU5,000 ARHRF scholarships are awarded at the USYD School of Rural Health each year; one at each of our Dubbo and Orange campuses.

More information about this scholarship can be obtained from the Australian Rotary Health Research Fund.

Dubbo Medical Society Scholarship

The Dubbo Medical Society Scholarship was established in 2005 by the offer of an annual donation from the Dubbo Medical Society.

One $AU5,000 scholarship is awarded each year. It is intended to cover essential living and study-related expenses.

  • be from a rural background (preferably the Dubbo area);
  • be enrolled in the third or fourth year of the Medical Program;
  • undertake at least 8 weeks of their required terms in Dubbo; and
  • demonstrate financial need.
