Students of Sydney Medical School
Each year, 25% of Australian students enrolled in Stage 3 at Sydney Medical School spend a Rural Clinical Year at the School of Rural Health.
These students attend our Dubbo or Orange campus for either:
- Terms A, B, C and D; OR
- Terms E, G, H and I.
A small number of additional places may also be available in Term F (Elective) and Term J (Pre-Internship).
Students in Dubbo and Orange complete the same curriculum as their Sydney-based classmates, within a rural context. They can expect:
- small student-teacher ratios
- easy access to clinical experience
- enhanced skills acquisition
- less commuting
- well-equipped learning & living facilities
- friendly country communities
