Recently established in 2008, the Research Centre aims to further expand the research presence in rural NSW in collaboration with The George Institute For International Health.
The George Institute For International Health is a legally independent, not-for-profit institute seeking to improve the health of people worldwide through undertaking high quality research and applying this research to health policy and practice.
The George Institute For International Health now shares an office in Dubbo, within the School of Rural Health’s Research Centre.

Heart Outcomes Prevention Evaluation: SOLARIS Study of Lipid Modification and Blood Pressure Reduction in People at Average Risk.
HOPE-3 is an international clinical research trial testing the possibility that rosuvastatin – a cholesterol lowering medication and candesartan/hydrochlorothiazide (HCT) – blood pressure lowering medication may reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.
