Student Accommodation

Our student accommodation is a mixture of well-equipped units and houses that cater for singles, couples and families. Most of the accommodation has been purpose-built and is comfortable and secure.

Our small campuses mean that you are never more than a 5 minute walk from the classroom or hospital.

Dubbo Campus

Our 35 on-campus rooms provide singles, couples and family accommodation in:

  • Two 4-bedroom units
  • One 1-bedroom unit
  • Four 5-bedroom houses
  • Two 2-bedroom units
  • One 1-bedroom unit with wheelchair access

Orange Campus

Our 16 on-campus bedrooms provide singles accommodation in:

  • One 4-bedroom house
  • Two 6-bedroom houses

We also lease off-campus premises that are furnished and equipped similarly to our on-campus housing:

  • Two 3-bedroom houses
  • One 2-bedroom house

All off-campus accommodation is within easy walking distance of the campus and hospital.

Personal Space: What We Provide

Each bedroom has an individually keyed lock and is equipped with:

  • Built-in desk with bookshelves
  • Computer with 24hr broadband access, to the University network
  • Bed with mattress protector
  • Built-in wardrobe
  • Bedside cabinet, lamp & rubbish bin
  • Heating and cooling

Shared Space: What We Provide

Living/Dining Area – lounges, dining table & chairs, TV with DVD/VCR, coffee table, bookcase, shared printer, a telephone that will make local calls/receive incoming calls, heating and cooling.

Kitchen: fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, blender/electric mixer, wok, sandwich maker, crockery, cutlery, glassware, common utensils, cookware & bakingware.

Laundry: washing machine, clothes dryer in some units, iron & ironing board, vacuum & broom, laundry basket & clothes horse, mop & bucket, outside clothesline.

Bathroom: some are wheelchair accessible.

You Need to Bring...

  • Sheets, doona, pillows, towels, coathangers
  • Groceries (all our accommodation is self-catering)
  • Toiletries and other personal items

Please don't bring any items of furniture.

Costs

There is currently no rental charge for Medical Program students staying in the School's accommodation.

Students are required to pay a $20 key deposit that will be refunded when the key is returned at departure time.
